Oswego, NY – The Oswego Clearview Squirt Hockey Team kicked off their season this past weekend with a strong 12-2 victory over visiting Ithaca at the Cullinan Ice Rink in Oswego.

According to Oswego Assistant Coach Rob Raby, a strong and relentless offensive attack, combined with a stellar defense and net minding led by goalie Tyler Wallace, helped secure the victory.

“The team really came out and played hard,” said Raby.

“We scored two goals within the first minute of the game and never looked back,” added Assistant Coach Dennis Brady. “Tyler’s play in net was also exceptional throughout the game and the defense stopped a number of Ithaca opportunities.”

Oswego Forward Spencer Stepien then added to the scoring with a goal off an assist from Jack Stephens.
