Oswego Club Hockey Team Back For Second Half of Season

The Oswego State Men’s Club Hockey Team returned to the SUNY campus early to prepare for the second half of their 2010-2011 schedule. The Lakers will be playing 4 games this upcoming week starting on Tuesday, January 25 when they face the Cortland Red Dragons at the Fulton Community Ice Rink for an NECHL game. The puck will drop at 9:15.

The following night, Oswego travels to the Utica Auditorium as the guests of Mohawk Valley Community College for a non- league contest. That game starts at 7:00.

The Lakers will host Binghamton on Friday, January 28 at 7:00. Oswego, who played Binghamton back in October as their first game of the season, will try and avenge the earlier 1 goal loss.

Special guests of the Lakers on that night will be the Brockville Motors Jr. Braves, an Atom B team, from Brockville, Ontario, Canada, who will be in Oswego for an Oswego Minor Hockey tournament.

Also on Friday night, the nationally ranked Oswego State Synchronized Skating Team will be performing their routine during the first and second periods of the game as they prepare for their upcoming competition.

The following night, the Lakers will travel to Canisius for an ACHA non-league game. This will be the first meeting for the teams, as Canisius, which previously was a D3 NCAA team, joined the ACHA this year.

Oswego State is aD1 ACHA team and a member of the NECHL. They are sponsored by the Student Association of Oswego State University, Clean Check Hockey and Bags for Sports.
