Oswego Community Christian School Hosts Breakaway ‘08

OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Community Christian School will be hosting Breakaway ’08 on Oct. 11.

The event will run from 3 to 8 p.m. – rain or shine – at the Oswego Speedway, 300 E. Albany St.

Headliner will be nationally acclaimed Christian rock group Superchick, and its “Rock What You Got” tour.

The music event is targeted for young adults, teens, young adults and contemporary Christian music enthusiasts of all ages.

It will be a safe, family-friendly atmosphere with music, food and activities.

“The OCCS school board wants to make Breakaway an annual event,” said OCCS principal Pastor Charles (Chuck) Green. “And we’re excited to be able to bring a nationally recognized and popular group like Superchick to Oswego.”

Other musical artists performing at the event include StellarKart, Starlit Platoon and Article One.

In addition, BMX and Skate Exhibition team, Enemy Opposition, will be putting on a display of their extreme sport skills during the day’s events.

“There’s a mix of music for everyone,” said Green. “The bike and skateboard exhibition is icing on a delicious cake.”

Proceeds will benefit the Oswego Community Christian School.

Advance tickets are $15 for individuals, $13 for groups of 15 or more; or $20 the day of the event.
