Oswego County BOCES student Ava Delong shows off her Junie B. Jones pumpkin look-a-like. Ava and each of her classmates selected a pumpkin during a field trip and then as part of a classroom project artfully prepared them to replicate a favorite book and/or literary subject. Ava is pictured with her dad, Andrew, and her mom, Erica who joined her for the school’s open house event.

Held OCB’s main campus in Mexico on October 11 and at the Fourth Street School on October 16, the events gave parents an opportunity to visit their child’s school and meet their child’s teacher and/or team of teachers.

In addition visitors toured many classrooms and shop areas, reviewed some of the projects that the students have been working on since the start of the school year, and also participated in some fun and educational activities and experiments.
