OSWEGO – The Oswego County Clerk’s Office on-line data management service was off-line for a few days this week, due to a circuit board failure, but the service has been fully restored, County Clerk George J. Williams said Thursday.
Williams said sometime over last weekend a circuit board failed and caused the data management system to malfunction.
Repair work began on Monday and the system was on-line by late Thursday morning.
“We appreciate the public’s patience while the server was down,” said Williams. “We know this service is important, and our priority was to restore the public terminals used for title searches and abstracts first. That was restored this morning. By early afternoon all of the system was back on-line.”
Williams emphasized that no records were lost and data remained secure during the outage.
Staff members were able to process any time-sensitive documents that came in while the service was interrupted.
“We thank the public for their understanding during this inconvenience,” he said.
