Oswego County Drug Task Force Announce Meth Lab Arrests

On Monday January 9, shortly before 11 a.m., investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force, in conjunction with the New York State Police Special Operations Response Team and Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team, executed a methamphetamine related search warrant on a residence located at 1822 County Route 6 Lot A-18 in the town of Volney.

As a result of the search warrant execution, materials and equipment used to manufacture and possess methamphetamine were seized from the residence, according to police.

Through investigative means, it was learned that Lyndon C. Bentley, Jennifer R. Rogers and their child under the age of 16, were living at 1822 County Route 6 Lot A-18 in the town of Volney.

Bentley, 48, of 1822 County Route 6 Lot A-18, was arrested and charged with:
Unlawful Manufacturing of Methamphetamine in the 2nd degree – Class C Felony
Unlawful Manufacturing of Methamphetamine in the 3rd degree – Class D Felony
Endangering the Welfare of a Child – Class A Misdemeanor

Rogers, 39, of 1822 County Route 6 Lot A-18, was arrested and charged with:
Unlawful Manufacturing of Methamphetamine in the 2nd degree – Class C Felony
Unlawful Manufacturing of Methamphetamine in the 3rd degree – Class D Felony
Endangering the Welfare of a Child – Class A Misdemeanor

 

The Unlawful Manufacturing of Methamphetamine in the 2nd degree and  the  Endangering the Welfare of a Child charges; are based upon the allegation that a child under the age of 16 was present while methamphetamine was being manufactured by Bentley and Rogers.

Bentley and Rogers  were arraigned in Volney Town Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 secure bail bond.

They are both scheduled to return to Volney Town Court on February 27 at 6 p.m.

The Oswego County Drug Task Force is comprised of members from the Oswego County District Attorney’s Office, Oswego County Sheriff’s Department, NYS University Police at Oswego, U.S. Border Patrol, Fulton City Police Department and Oswego City Police Department.
