Oswego County Drug Task Force Announces More Meth Lab Arrests

OSWEGO, NY – Today (Dec. 11), at approximately 6 a.m., investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force, with the assistance of the New York State Police Special Operations Response Team and Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team executed methamphetamine related search warrants at four separate residences in eastern Oswego County.

Warrants were executed at: 458 Kipp Road, Parish; 36 Sawmill Road, town of Richland; 636 Canning Factory Road, town of Richland; and 2685 County Route 2 town of Richland.

Based upon an investigation conducted by the DTF it was believed that the occupants, living at and/or frequenting these locations were conspiring and acting in concert to manufacture methamphetamine.

As a result of the search warrant executions, materials and equipment used to manufacture and possess methamphetamine were allegedly seized from all of the locations, with the exception of the residence on Sawmill Road.

Those arrested and criminally charged are as follows:

At 458 Kipp Road – Deedra A. Blankshain, 48, of 458 Kipp Road, Parish

Emily M. Dawson, 22, of 11993 State Route 34,  Cato

Joshua M. Salisbury

Joshua M. Salisbury, 29, of 1030 County Route 25 Oswego

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd degree – Class AII Felony
Unlawful Manufacturing of Methamphetamine in the 3rd degree – Class D Felony

All three defendants were charged with one count each of the above.

It is alleged that they did possess equipment and materials with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine.

It is further alleged that they did possess approximately 2.5 ounces of methamphetamine oil and a small amount of “finished” methamphetamine.

At 636 Canning Factory Road – Jeffrey R. Sakowski, 38, of 636 Canning Factory Road, Richland

Unlawful Manufacturing of Methamphetamine in the 3rd degree – Class D Felony

It is alleged that Sakowski did possess equipment and materials with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine.

At 2685 County Route 2 Richland – Julie A. Benson, 48, of 2685 County Route 2, Richland

Unlawful Manufacturing of Methamphetamine in the 3rd degree – Class D Felony.

It is alleged that Benson did possess equipment and materials with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine.

A small amount of “finished” methamphetamine was also seized at this location, police said.

All of the above listed defendants are being held pending their arraignment in the local court having jurisdiction.

The Oswego County Drug Task Force is comprised of members from the Oswego County District Attorney’s Office, Oswego County Sheriff’s Department, NYS University Police at Oswego, U.S. Border Patrol, Fulton City Police Department and Oswego City Police Department.
