OSWEGO, NY – On March 12, investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force conducted an investigation in the illegal possession and sales of prescription narcotics within the city of Fulton.
At approximately 7:30 p.m. DTF investigators stopped a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta in the area of North Fifth Street and Ontario Street.
The operator of the vehicle, Shaiana L. Hahn, 22, of 308 W. Second St., Oswego, was reportedly found to be in possession of 29 hydrocodone tablets, a narcotic drug, police said today (March 19).
It is alleged that Hahn possessed the narcotic tablets with the intent to sell.
Hahn was arrested and criminally charged as follows:
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, intent to sell – Class B Felony
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th degree – Class C Felony
Endangering the Welfare of a Child- Class A Misdemeanor
The endangering the welfare of a child charge is based upon the fact that Hahn had a 1-year-old child with her in the vehicle while she allegedly possessed the hydrocodone tablets with the intent to sell such.
Hahn was arraigned in Fulton City Court and released on her own recognizance.
She is to reappear in Fulton City Court on April 30 at 9:30 a.m.
On March 13, at approximately 6 p.m., the Oswego County Drug Task Force with the assistance of the New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team and the Oswego City Police Department executed a methamphetamine related search warrant at 222 Liberty St. in the city of Oswego, police said today (March 19).
As a result of the investigation materials and equipment used to produce methamphetamine were located and seized, according to the police report.
George E. Sheldon IV, 32, of 222 Liberty St., was arrested and charged as follows:
Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine in the 3rd degree – Class D Felony
Sheldon was arraigned in Oswego Town Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility without bail.
He was scheduled to appear on the charge in Oswego City Court on March 17.
The Oswego County Drug Task Force is comprised of members from the Oswego County District Attorney’s Office, Oswego County Sheriff’s Department, NYS University Police at Oswego, Fulton City Police Department and Oswego City Police Department.
