Oswego County Drug Task Force Charge Pair With Felonies

OSWEGO, NY – On Friday April 10, investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force in conjunction with the Oswego City Police Department and NYS University Police at Oswego executed two cocaine related search warrants.

At approximately 3 p.m., a search warrant was executed for the person of Andreli D. Tolentino in the area of West Cayuga and John streets in the city of Oswego.

Investigators located and seized 102 grams of cocaine, having an approximate street value of $8,000, from Tolentino’s person, according to the police report.

It is alleged that the seized cocaine was possessed with the intent to sell.

Tolentino, 24, of 2 Ellwood St., Apartment 4E, New York, NY, was arrested and charged as follows:

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, intent to sell – Class B Felony
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree – Class B Felony

Tolentino was arraigned in Oswego City Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility without bail.

At 6:15 p.m., a search warrant was executed at Oneida Hall room 201 on the SUNY Oswego campus.

Approximately seven grams of cocaine, having a street value of $560, was located and seized, police said.

Joseph P. Simoneau, 20, of Oneida Hall room 201, was arrested and charged as follows:

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, intent to sell – Class B Felony Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th degree – Class C Felony

Simoneau was arraigned in Oswego City Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.

Further arrests and charges are likely.

The Oswego County Drug Task Force is comprised of members from the Oswego County District Attorney’s Office, Oswego County Sheriff’s Department, NYS University Police at Oswego, Fulton City Police Department and Oswego City Police Department.
