Oswego County Federal Credit Union Now Offers Credit Union Auto Club

Oswego County Federal Credit Union (OCFCU), is offering members a new credit union auto club that is similar to AAA, but available at lower rates, it was announced by William Carhart, CEO.

“Each plan is priced for a 12-month period with an automatic renewal option, Carhart said. OCFCU’s Auto Club offers members significantly lower rates than AAA on individual and family plans.”

The Auto Club is able to offer an annual individual plan for $47, while AAA charges $51, Carhart said. For family plans, OCFCU Auto Club allows you to save up to $90 compared to AAA’s plan prices. “There is no sign up fee for Credit Union Auto Club so join the club and start saving money on your peace of mind today!”

OCFCU opened a new Oswego office in January 2013 on the corner of E. 4th and Bridge St. It replaced its former E. 7th St. location and is more than twice its size. In Dec. 2010, OCFCU opened a brand new office in Mexico at 5828 Scenic Ave. (Route 3) where they converted and renovated the village’s former railroad depot into a modern credit union, Carhart said. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. The credit union’s third office is at 300 W. 1st St. in Oswego.

Founded in 1975, OCFCU is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative association, which serves more than 8,800 members from throughout Oswego County. OCFCU’s charter was revised in early 2007 so that anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Oswego County is eligible to join.
