OSWEGO, NY – On 8:58 p.m Thursday., Richard A. Ashlaw Jr., 19, of 1436 County Route 22, Altmar, was arrested at the Osewgo County Jail for fourth-degree grand larceny, a class E felony; unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a class A misdemeanor and petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor.
The charges stem from he investigation into an incident that occurred in the town of Albion where he allegedly stole a vehicle from the victim’s driveway then drove it off the roadway and left it in a ditch as it was stuck in the mud.
Ashlaw was arraigned in the Town of Albion Court by Hon. Judge Allen and remanded to the OCJ in lieu of $2,500 bail with a return to court date of May 21.
At the same time, Ashlaw was arrested at the for third-degree attempted burglary, a class D felony; second-degree attempted burglary, a class C felony and fourth-degree criminal mischief, a class A misdemeanor.
These charges stem from an incident at a residence in the town of Albion where he allegedly damaged windows and screens trying to gain access to the residence.
Ashlaw was arraigned in the Town of Albion Court and remanded back to OCJ.
