Oswego County Proclaims November As Runaway Prevention Month

OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego County Legislature’s Human Services Committee presented a proclamation designating November as Runaway Prevention Month.

There are more than 800 runaway or are homeless youth in Oswego County in any given year.

Citizens, organizations and communities must come together to help these young people by guiding them toward available resources and empowering them to make choices that will ensure their success in becoming healthy and productive adults.
