Central Square, NY – The Oswego County Republican Committee gathered for its annual county endorsement meeting on Thursday at Castaway’s Restaurant and endorsed several candidates for state and local of?ce. New York State Assemblyman William A. Barclay, Assemblyman Robert C. Oaks and State Senator Patricia A. Ritchie were all unanimously endorsed along with Oswego County Sheriff Reuel “Moe” Todd.
The nearly 300-member strong OCRC was addressed by all four candidates who explained their proven record of advocating for and protecting Oswego County.
All highlighted their efforts to spur real economic development in Oswego County and continual dialogue with local elected of?cials, along with their opposition to the NY SAFE Act.
“Consistently Oswego County has been represented at the local and state level by exceptional people and I’m proud that the OCRC stood side-by-side with these candidates,” said OCRC Chairman Michael C. Backus. “They are proven representatives of the people of Oswego County. In today’s political environment we need people committed to creating jobs, protecting our Constitutional rights and focused on controlling spending.”
The Oswego County Republican Committee is a volunteer led, community-based political organization focused on promoting Republican values of small government, low taxes and individual liberty.
