HASTINGS, NY – The Oswego County Republican Committee unanimously endorsed Greg Oakes of Parish for a second term as Oswego County District Attorney.
“Greg has earned our support through his advocacy work to protect our children,” said Michael C. Backus, Chair of the OCRC. “That coupled with his steadfast desire to prosecute those who would abuse taxpayer funds through welfare fraud makes me proud to have him as the Republican candidate for DA.”
“I am beyond humbled to have the unanimous support of the OCRC,” said Oakes. “I work every day to ensure each and every citizen in Oswego County can live their lives in peace.”
Oakes has served as a prosecutor since 2001 and was elected District Attorney in 2011.
He resides in Parish with his wife, Karen, and two sons.
The OCRC also recognized several legislative candidates present at the meeting including: Legislators Wilbur, Kastler, Potter, Doyle, Reehil, Martino, Proud, Lockwood, and Walpole all running for re-election.
Legislative challengers including Chip Kio (District 18), and Peter Holmes (District 24) were also introduced.
The OCRC is a 200+ strong, volunteer led community organization focused on electing Republican candidates and promoting more economic freedom.
