Oswego County Sheriff’s Office: Monday, 06/29/09


On 6/26/09 at 9:00 a.m., Tiffany L. Searor, 22, of 514 CR 7, Hannibal, NY, was arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor, and Harassment, Second Degree, a violation, stemming from a domestic incident that occurred at her residence during which she allegedly grabbed the arm of a victim while the victim was holding a child and attempted to pull the victim to the floor. The child was reportedly taken from the victim by a third party just before Ms. Searor and the victim fell to the floor. Ms. Searor was arraigned before the Hon. Kimberly Seager, Oswego County Family Court, and released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Hannibal Court on 6/30/09.

On 6/26/09 at 10:00 a.m., Robert J. Boom, 52, of 253 Tug Hill Road, Oswego, NY, was arrested for Criminal Possession of Marijuana, First Degree, a class C felony; Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Fourth Degree, a class A misdemeanor; and Unlawful Growing of Cannabis, a class A misdemeanor and violation of Public Health Law, following the execution of a search warrant at his residence. Mr. Boom was arraigned before the Hon. Michael Sterio, Town of Oswego Court, and remanded without bail. He is scheduled to return to court on 6/29/09.

On 6/26/09, Chasity M. VanSlyke, 29, of 85 Worth St., Fulton, NY, was operating a 1994 Jeep suburban eastbound on SR 176 in the Town of Granby at 7:16 p.m. when she reportedly lost power steering in the vehicle and drove straight off the road while rounding a curve 5/10 of a mile east of CR 55. The vehicle went off the south side of the roadway, traveled across a lawn, then over a ditch before coming to rest in an open field south of SR 176. Property damage was noted at 1204 SR 176, Fulton, NY. Dilan M. VanSlyke, 10, a passenger, was transported by ambulance to University Hospital in Syracuse.

On 6/28/09 at 3:30 p.m., Zacharay V. Bartlett, 18, of 131 Curtis St., Fulton, NY, was arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor, stemming from an incident that occurred at his residence on 6/11/09 when he was accused of choking a 15 year old male reportedly causing the male to pass out and fall to the ground striking his head. Mr. Bartlett was released on an appearance ticket returnable to Fulton City Court on 7/15/09.
