Oswego County Sheriff’s Office: Tuesday, 7/21/09


On 7/19/09 at 9:47 a.m., Heather M. Tompkins, 23, of N18B Pinetree Blvd., Old Bridge, NJ was operating a 1996 Ford on SR 48 in the Town of Granby when she slowed to make a westbound turn into a private business, was rear ended by a 2002 Jeep being operated by John E. Valentine, 37, of 120 Henderson Blvd., Syracuse, NY. Mr. Valentine was ticketed for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a MV, 3rd degree and Following too Closely.

On 7/19/09 at 10:21 p.m., Brittany M. Cean, 20, of PO Box 836, Pierrepont Mnr., NY was operating a 2000 Pontiac northeast on SR 104B in the Town of New Haven when she reportedly attempted to stop at the intersection of SR 104B and CR 1 when the brakes of her vehicle allegedly malfunctioned, causing her to skid thru the stop sign and collide with a 2001 Ford being operated by Jessie K. Keck, 23, of 5208 CR 97, Adams, NY. Ms. Cean was ticketed for Failure to Stop at Stop Sign.

On 7/21/09 at 2:25 am., a 14 year old male residing in the Town of Minetto was taken into custody for an act, which if committed by an adult, would have constituted the crime of Criminal Trespass, 2nd degree and Petit Larceny following an incident in which he allegedly entered a residence without permission in the Town of Granby and took consumable goods and a mountain bike. The youth and his parent were issued a Juvenile Appearance Ticket and directed to contact the Oswego County Probation Department.
