On 1/11/08 at 1:29 a.m., Bernard M. Finnegan, 48 of 171 Woolson Road, Oswego, NY, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Driving With .08 of One Percent or More of Alcohol, and Failure to Keep Right, following a traffic stop after the truck he was driving was observed drifting over the center line and then back onto the shoulder.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Mr. Finnegan was issued on tickets returnable to Town of Scriba Court on 10/16/08 and released to a third party.

Lucas, 36, of 4202 CR 4, Oswego, NY, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Driving With .08 of One Percent or More of Alcohol, and Failure to Keep Right, following a traffic stop that was initiated after she was observed driving in the oncoming lane of County Route 32.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Ms. Lucas was released to a third party on tickets returnable to Town of Hastings Court on 10/22/08.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Assisting at the scene was a member of the New York State Police.
On 10/12/08 at 2:56 a.m., a traffic stop initiated on SR 481 in the City of Oswego led to the arrest of Thomas H. Carey, 52, of 45 Catherine St., Oswego, NY, for Driving While Intoxicated; Insufficient Tail Lamps; Obstruction of Governmental Administration, Second Degree, a class A misdemeanor; and Harassment, Second Degree, a violation.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Mr. Carey was reportedly uncooperative during the arrest process, allegedly intentionally hitting his head against the cage of the patrol car, then yelling obscenities and kicking an officer in the leg while being escorted down a hallway of the Public Safety Building.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â He was arraigned before the Hon. James Metcalf, Oswego City Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bail bond.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â He is scheduled to answer the charges before Oswego City Court on 10/14/08.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â The arrest was part of a STOP DWI detail being enforced by Oswego County SheriffÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Deputies.

Minnick, 31, of 487 CR 90, Mannsville, NY, was arrested for Grand Larceny, Fourth Degree, a class E felony, after she was accused of continuing to write checks on a checking account after the power of attorney she was given to that account had been revoked, illegally withdrawing in excess of $1,000 from the account.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Ms. Minnick was arraigned before Town of Scriba Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bail bond.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â She is scheduled to answer the charge before Town of Sandy Creek Court on 10/17/08.
On October 12, 2008 at approximately 3:27 p.m., members of the Oswego County SheriffÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Office responded to a reported one-motorcycle accident on Teachout Road near CR 27 in the Town of Redfield.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Further investigation revealed Nicholas Santora, 65, of Marsden Road, Mexico, NY, had been operating a 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound when he reportedly lost control while failing to negotiate a curve, drove off the south side of the roadway and struck a guide rail.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Mr. Santora was transported by ambulance to University Hospital in Syracuse.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â His passenger, Laurie Wakeman, 45, address unknown, was transported by Camden Ambulance to a Mercy Flight Helicopter that flew her to University Hospital.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Both subjects were reportedly wearing helmets at the time.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Members of the New York State Police and Redfield Fire Department assisted at the scene of the incident, which remains under investigation at this time.
On 10/12/08, James H. Kanar, 19, of 242 Durbin Road, Hannibal, NY, was arrested at 6:00 p.m. for Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor, stemming from an incident that occurred earlier that day at Wal-Mart in the Town of Granby during which he allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for two DVDÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Mr. Kanar reportedly engaged in a brief struggle with store security before fleeing in a vehicle.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â He was later located at a residence in the Village of Phoenix and arrested.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Mr. Kanar was arraigned before the Hon. Luther Dennison, Town of Hannibal Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250 cash bail or $500 bail bond.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â He is scheduled to answer the charge before Town of Granby Court on 10/13/08.
