Oswego County Sheriff’s Office 10/14/2008

On 10/12/08 at 3:27 p.m., Nicholas C. Santora, 65, of 29 Marsden Dr., Mexico, NY was operating a 2006 Harley Davidson on Teachout Rd. in the Town of Redfield when he reportedly took the corner too fast and too wide going off the blacktop into loose gravel and when he tried to correct,  it caused the rear end of the vehicle to spin sideways travel across the road and strike the guard rail.  Mr. Santaro and a passenger,  Laurie J. Wakeman, 45, were taken to University Hospital, he by ambulance and her by helicopter.

On 10/12/08 at 2:13 p.m., Jeffrey R. Mauriello, 66, of SR 104 Bldg# 5350 Apt. # L 31, Oswego, NY was arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor stemming from the investigation into a fight in progress complaint in which he allegedly threw punches at an individual of which was holding a child less than seventeen years of age in their arms.  Mr. Mauriello was released on an appearance ticket, returnable to the Town of Scriba Court on 10/30/08.

On 10/13/08 at 1:35 p.m., a 17 year old male residing in the Town of Palermo was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Sexual Misconduct, both class A misdemeanors resulting from the investigation into an incident in which he allegedly had sexual intercourse with an individual less than 17 years of age in the Village of Phoenix.  He was issued appearance tickets, returnable to the T/O Schroeppel Court on 10/28/08.

On 10/14/08 at 4:25 a.m., Mary S. Hough, 24, of 43 Cemetery Rd., Oswego, NY was operating a 1999 Chevrolet west bound on CR 20 in the Town of Oswego when she reportedly lost control and struck a tree.  Ms. Hough was transported to Oswego Hospital.  Unsafe speed and improper lane usage seem to have been contributing factors.
