OSWEGO, NY – On Tuesday afternoon, the Oswego Fire Department was dispatched to a vehicle fire at 101 West Utica Street.
OFD units were on scene quickly and reported heavy smoke and flames showing.
Fire officials stated the vehicle was parked within two feet of an office building.
The fire in the engine compartment was quickly knocked down with a hoseline by OFD personnel.
A portion of the building’s soffit material was removed so crews could check for extension.
The minivan sustained heavy damage to the engine compartment and the office building received minor smoke damage.
No injuries were reported.
