Oswego Girls’ JV Volleyball Score Another Tourney Win

The Oswego Girls’ JV Volleyball team went 10-0 on the day to win the Gold Division Championship game on Saturday in Central Square.

Finishing first in pool play with a 6-0 record we faced off against a tough West Genny team and won the semi-final game 2-0 in sets.

The championship match we faced off with Fulton who had just beat host Central Square.

In the championship match we beat Fulton 25-14 and 25-15.

Today was a group effort, all of the girls contributed to each set when they were on the floor.

When we get a great group effort like we did today good things happen. This is our third tournament and we have done well in all three this season but this one the girls really stepped up and wanted to win today.

Facing a tough group with West Genny and Fulton in the semifinal and final was a good test for us.

West Genny served very well against us in both sets and we had to play better defense.

The championship match with Fulton we had a good serve game going and we continued it throughout both sets.

We have two games this week and the first will see us in a rematch with Fulton on Tuesday and then heading to Fowler on Thursday.
