Oswego Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse Open Their Season

Tuesday vs General Brown

Heading north for our first game of the season would be a good test for us to see how things would fall into place for us as a group.

We played well and learned a lot from 2 tough halves.

Reagen Thompson paced the scoring for us with all 5 of our goals.

Several girls had great shots in the game as well and the General Brown keeper was put to work throughout the game.

The first half felt a little rushed and in the second half we slowed our pace down.

But host General Brown did not make too many errors on either end of the field and soaked up a lot of the ground balls tonight.

As a group we can reflect on a game like this against a tough opponent and think about the things we can do better next time.

Against New Hartford

With the game we played on Tuesday it gave our group the perspective that we need to slow down in transition and to try and complete more of our pass attempts to create more shots for us.

And we were able to do just that.

Seven different goal scorers for us tonight and both goalies stepped in and played well.

We had contributions from all over the field and we maintained a much better pace.

Our schedule will only see tougher competition as we begin our league schedule this Saturday when we head to Central Square before hosting two home games next week.
