Oswego Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse Updates

Updates from last two games:

Vs. Cortland

We kept pace with the visiting Cortland group but struggled to put some defense up against a few of their key scorers.

Our draw controls were about 50 50 for the night but we struggled to beat Cortland to the ground balls.

On the offense side of the ball we had several good scoring chances and came up short several times, their keeper played a good game in the net for them.

We were on the door step several times and she came up big several times as well.

Vs. Auburn

Going into this game we knew Auburn is a shooting team and they peppered our goaltenders with shot after shot tonight.

We had a lot of miscues defensively in the first half and we made some adjustments in the second half and the second half we had several good caused turnovers and played much more aggressive defense.

Ground balls were not in our favor this evening as we struggled to maintain possession of the ground.

This will be a learning week for us as we continue to push through our schedule – we head down the road to Fulton on Monday and then to Syracuse on Thursday.

We are hoping to bounce back and learn from this week.
