Oswego has a New Destination for Dinner!

OSWEGO, NY, APRIL 8, 2011– The 1881 Steakhouse will be celebrating their grand opening starting this Thursday, April 14 through Sunday, April 17 with live entertainment and specials all weekend.

As Oswego County’s only steakhouse, The 1881 Steakhouse is a casual American-fare restaurant with a flair for great steaks and crazy burgers! They serve Choice Hand Cut Beef, a higher quality of beef that is found nowhere else in the area. Their menu features everything from classic comfort food to inspired eclectic choices, plus local seasonal specials and handmade desserts.

The 1881 Steakhouse is located at the K&G Lodge and is just 4.5 miles from the center of Oswego. The beautiful Adirondack-style construction features a cedar and stone exterior that leads into the spectacular “Great Room.” The restaurant has large windows on both sides affording beautiful views of the surrounding property on one side and the large outdoor patio on the other, where guests can enjoy the tranquility of the property.

With summer right around the corner, the 1881 Steakhouse will use the spacious outdoor patio for al fresco dining from late spring to early autumn. Shawna Gallton is the new Executive Chef at 1881. She brings with her 14 years of experience in the kitchen, she previously worked under executive chef Ziad Whebe at Geneva on the Lake in Geneva. Her culinary expertise is only matched by her ingenuity with fresh and local ingredients!

The 1881 Steakhouse takes reservations, but walk-Ins are always welcome. They accept all major credit cards and can host large groups.
