OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego Health Auxiliary is looking for individuals willing to donate their time to help improve healthcare in their community.
The Auxiliary will hold a membership drive from 10 a.m. to noon on April 26 in the lobby of Oswego Hospital.
Members of the Auxiliary volunteer their time assisting with fund raising efforts that support Oswego Health, they advocate on behalf of Oswego Health on important health initiatives and give of their time in various capacities at Oswego Hospital, the Fulton Medical Center and The Manor at Seneca Hill.
The Auxiliary was recently recognized by the Healthcare Association of New York State and was presented with a 2011 Auxiliary Advocacy Recognition Award. This honor was given to the local health system for committing a significant amount of time and effort to serving as an advocate for their facility and community during the past year.
The Auxiliary was founded more than 66 years ago and since then has been an integral part of the Oswego Health system.
“Our volunteers are a valuable resource and play an important role in improving the health of our community,” said Sarah Weigelt, Director of Volunteers and Auxilians. “We are very appreciative of their time and talents and are looking for more individuals to join us.”
