OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Health has changed the location of one of its monthly smoking cessations classes.
The Fulton Medical Center’s conference room will be the location for the smoking cessation group that meets the first Wednesday of each month.
The group will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and participants are encouraged to use the Park Street entrance.
This group had met at The Manor at Seneca Hill.
Oswego Health will continue to hold its smoking cessation class at Oswego Hospital the second Monday of each month from 2 to 4 p.m. in the cafeteria conference room.
Teaching the classes is a certified smoking cessation instructor.
Those attending the cessation program will have the information they need to help them stop smoking during a single class. However, community members are welcome to attend as many sessions as they wish.
During the smoking cessation classes, participants will learn how to recognize and address barriers, the components and importance of a quit plan and the available resources.
Both groups are free and open to the community.
Registration for the class is encouraged and can be arranged by calling 349-5513.
