OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Health will hold its fourth annual Skate Bike Ride event from 4:30 to 7 p.m. June 5 at the Red Planet Skate and Bike Park at 77 W. First St.

The focus of this event since its inception has been to educate youths about safe skateboard and bike riding.

Along with learning safety tips at this year’s Skate Bike Ride, youths can be properly fitted with a free bike helmet provided by the staff of Oswego Hospital’s emergency department.

As in past years, helping Oswego Health coordinate this event are the Red Planet Skate and Bike Park, Reality Check and the Oswego City Fire Department.

New this year will be community members from the Leadership Oswego County Class, which will provide educational information on a variety of youth-related topics.

Other fun activities will be a balancing contest held by Oswego Health’s physical therapy department.
