Apples may keep the doctor away as the old saying goes, but it won’t keep Oswego Health away from the Lioness Club’s apple festival to be held in the village of Central Square on Sept. 29 and 30.
The health system will offer free health screenings and educational information under a large tent at the festival.
Among the screenings will be blood pressure and bone density.
Children and youths will be able to make their own first aid kit.
In addition, staff from the Oswego Health’s Central Square Medical Center, which will open Oct. 1, will be at the festival both days explaining the services that will be offered at the outpatient facility.
Those services include urgent care, medical imaging, lab and physical therapy.
The hours of the festival are Sept. 29 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sept. 30th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This year, the festival moves to the Brewerton Speedway, located on Route 11.
