OSWEGO, NY – To improve the quality of care it provides its patients, Oswego Health is surveying its Oswego Hospital inpatients, as well as those who use any of the organizationÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s outpatient services. In addition, community residents who use any of the services at The Manor, or Springside, may also be surveyed.
The short, easy to complete surveys, ask patients to answer questions about their care on a scale from very good to very poor.
All information provided is kept confidential.
The surveys are randomly mailed to patientÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s homes and include a postage-paid return envelope.
Oswego Health encourages those who receive a survey to complete and return it.
Oswego Health has hired Press Ganey to tabulate the returned surveys.
The organization is the largest provider of healthcare satisfaction measurement data in the country.
Currently, Press Ganey has partnered with more than 7,000 healthcare facilities and assists them in collecting and using patient evaluations in their quality improvement initiatives.
Several hospitals in our region are using Press Ganey including A. L. Lee Memorial, St. JosephÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s, and Community General.
Oswego Health believes that by using the same patient/resident satisfaction consultant as our regional hospital partners it may assist the healthcare organization in delivering the highest level of care possible.
