Oswego Health Welcomes Meredith Potter to Central Square’s Primecare Medical Practice


OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Health welcomes Meredith Potter, a family nurse practitioner, to the Primecare Medical Practice in Central Square.

At the Primecare Medical Practice, Potter will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages.

She will treat upper respiratory issues, sick visits, injuries, infections, rashes and sprains or strains, as well as routine screenings and the related follow-up care and women’s health services.

Potter recently earned her master of science in nursing/nurse practitioner degree from SUNY Polytechnic Institute of Technology in Utica.

She previously obtained her bachelor of science in nursing at SUNY Plattsburgh and her associate’s degree in nursing at SUNY Jefferson.

While studying for her bachelors and combined master and nurse practitioner degrees, she worked as a full-time emergency department nurse at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown.

She also worked on a per diem basis in Oswego Hospital’s emergency department.

Potter, who resides in the Pulaski area, said she was looking forward to providing primary care services to her fellow Oswego County residents.

“I find that there’s something to getting to know my patients and helping them make the best choices for their health,” she said. “I just love nursing and the whole process of working together to improve my patient’s overall health.”

Potter holds certification as a coronary care provider, advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support and as a trauma nurse.

She is a member of the NYS Nurse Practitioner Association, the NYS Nurses Association, the Emergency Nurse Association, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing.

The Primecare Medical Practice is located in the lower level of the Central Square Medical Center, 3045 East Avenue in the village of Central Square.
