OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Hospital welcomed its first baby of the year, Natalie Storme Backus at 1:04 a.m. on New Year’s Day.
She weighed six pounds, 13 ounces and was 20 inches long.
The first baby of the year is pictured with her mother, Morgan Backus, of Mexico.
The family was presented several gifts by Sarah Weigelt, Oswego Health Director of Volunteers and Auxilians, for being the first newborn of the year.
Oswego Hospital offers a home-like maternity center with private birthing rooms complete with a bathroom featuring its own large soaking tub.
