Oswego Hospital welcomes Anesthesiologist Simon Lee, MD, to its active medical staff.
Dr. Lee earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Missouri’s B.A./M.D. six-year program at the Kansas City campus.
Dr. Lee’s internship was completed at St. John’s Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. He fulfilled his anesthesiology residency at three New York City hospitals: New York Presbyterian’s Weill Cornell Medical College, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and the Hospital for Special Surgery. For the past four years he has worked at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, FL.
Dr. Lee added that his position at Oswego Hospital also provided him the flexibility to pursue another of one his passions, opera singing. Dr. Lee, a tenor, most recently was an understudy for the lead role in Faust, produced this summer by the Opera New Jersey. Where ever his career has taken him, Dr. Lee has become associated with an opera company. He said he often plays the principal character or that character’s understudy.
