FULTON, NY â€“ Oswego Industries, Inc. has been selected to produce approximately 30,000 leather dress belts per year for VF Imagewear, to be used by the United States Transportation Security Administration (TSA), for the next three years. The new project, which is valued at over $200,000 annually, will create jobs for five to ten people with disabilities through the organizationâ€™s vocational rehabilitation and supported employment programs.
The not-for-profit organization will be partnering with Adirondack Leather Products, which will cut the belts and ship them to Fulton. Participants in Oswego Industries, Inc.â€™s programs will assemble the belts, package them, and ship them. The belts, which are part of the TSA uniform, will be worn by TSA officers across the country.
