FULTON, NY – Oswego Industries is expanding its document imaging and digitizing program with plans to hire 18 more employees in the new year.
The non-profit agency located in Fulton was founded in 1968 with a mission to support and improve quality of life for adults with disabilities and currently employs more than 180 people.
Document imaging, scanning and shredding has been part of Oswego Industries operations for more than three years.
The document imaging and digitalizing program currently processes about 100,000 images per month, but has plans to increase output to more than 250,000 per month.
One of the companies Oswego Industries partners with for their imaging demands recently agreed to supply an additional 4,500,000 images to be digitized over the next three years.
This expansion nearly triples the workload of the digitizing department and created the opportunity for Oswego Industries to hire new employees.
“Our community is experiencing slowed economic development and we hope that these new positions will stimulate growth,” said Laurie Davis, executive director of Oswego Industries. “We are excited to provide so many jobs for applicants from a wide range of employment experiences including recent graduates, people returning to the workforce and skilled professionals.”
Oswego Industries prides itself on being an equal opportunity employer and encourages candidates of all abilities and backgrounds to apply.
In fact, the open positions provide an array of options for job-seekers including part- and full-time schedules for day and evening shifts.
The company also boasts competitive pay, great benefits and opportunities to advance in a workplace where employees can make an impact and improve lives.
In order to find and hire the best candidates for these new jobs, Oswego Industries is hosting a hiring event on February 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its main offices, located at 7 Morrill Place, Fulton.
Interviews for all vacancies including jobs related to production, maintenance, human services and supervisory positions will be held.
