In between, the Kartway will hold 16 action packed events featuring some of the best karters in central New York competing in staple Kartway events such as the King of the Kartway, the Battle at the Bull Ring, the Oswego Kartway Classic, and the Fall Frenzy 200 Championships.

Throughout the schedule, Oswego Kartway has also teamed with the state wide New York Dirt Kart Series (NYDKS), to conduct three state series qualifying events during the year for drivers in Jr. Purple Clone, Sr. Blue Clone, Clone Light, Clone Heavy, as well as Stock Flathead.

The Kartway’s Spring Championship on May 29 will serve as a qualifying event for the NYDKS series stop at Can-Am Speedway on June 20.

The Summer Championship at the Kartway on July 17 will be a qualifier for the NYDKS event at Ransomville Speedway on July 18.

Lastly, the Fall Frenzy 200 Championships will be an NYDKS series qualifier for the Fall Classic at Limerock Speedway on September 26.

Kartway winners in Jr. Purple Clone, Sr. Blue Clone, Clone Light, and Clone Heavy in each selected Kartway qualifier will be guaranteed to start in third position for the companion NYDKS main event.

In Stock Flathead, the May 29 and July 17 qualifiers will be awarded to Stock Light, while the final qualifier as a part of the Fall Frenzy 200 championships will be awarded to Stock Heavy.

“While the NYDKS will not make an official series stop at the Kartway in 2015, we have been working very closely with series president Shawn Jeffrey to tie the series and the Kartway together in some fashion for this season,” said Oswego Kartway promoter Dan Kapuscinski. “The NYDKS qualifying events at the Kartway will no doubt be exciting, and will help to promote each of our brands as we move forward.”

As mentioned the Kartway’s 2015 schedule will begin with the annual preseason warm-up race on May 1, followed by the Kartway Kick-Off championship opener on May 8.

The month of May will finish with a weekly event on May 15 followed by the Memorial Weekend ‘Port City 350’ on May 22 and the Spring Championship NYDKS Qualifier on May 29.

June will see three consecutive weekly events before taking a week off on June 26 in observance of the high school graduation weekend in the central New York area.

July bounces back in a big way at the “Bull Ring” with the introduction of the Summer Shootout, featuring four mini-series events within the Kartway’s race to the overall track championship.

The series opens with the ‘Firecracker 300’ on July 3 followed by the annual ‘King of the Kartway’ special on July 10.

The third race of the mini-series will be the July 17 Summer Championship NYDKS Qualifier, with the series coming to a close on July 31 with the annual ‘Battle at the Bull Ring’ spectacular.

Drivers in the top three of the July Summer Shootout mini-series will receive trophies, while the series champions will earn a guaranteed third place starting spot for the Oswego Kartway Classic.

August opens with two weekly events including the ‘Supermodified vs. SBS Driver Challenge’ on August 7.

The track championship point season will then close on August 21 as track champions will be declared in all weekly divisions, also earning guaranteed front row qualifying spots for the Fall Frenzy 200 Championships.

The ninth annual Oswego Kartway Classic will take place during Oswego Speedway’s Budweiser International Classic Week on September 3, with Classic champions also earning front row starting spots in the Fall Frenzy 200 Championships.

The third annual Fall Frenzy 200 Championships will move to September 12 in 2015, due to the return of the Speedway’s Race of Champions Weekend to September 18-19.

The Fall Frenzy 200 will again feature all weekly divisions with special 100-lap mains for Stock Heavy and Clone Heavy, with each main guaranteeing $500 to the winner.

The Fall Frenzy 200 will be the final of three NYDKS Qualifiers.

After taking a week off for the Speedway’s Race of Champions Weekend, the Kartway will finish its season on September 26 with the return of the Fun Finale, fun race.

The events on September 26 will include the always exciting powder puff event as well as a Junior/Senior team race, and much more.

The Kartway’s Triple Crown will return in 2015, to reward a driver for winning the ‘King of the Kartway,’ the ‘Battle at the Bull Ring,’ and the Oswego Kartway Classic all in the same season.

The Triple Crown went unclaimed in 2014.
