Oswego Lions Prepare for River’s Edge Craft Show

OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego Lions Club with host the fourth annual River’s Edge “handmade” Craft Show on June 7.

The event will take place at our new venue, Breitbeck Park, on the west side of Oswego.

A large crowd at part of a previous Lions' craft show.

A large crowd at part of a previous Lions’ craft show.

Our new venue is bigger, better, and even more beautiful, where the beautiful Oswego River and Lake Ontario meet.

Hours for the craft show will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Last year’s event was an overwhelming success and we expect nothing less of this year’s show.

Moving to our new location gives us a more spacious venue with great views.

Take in the wonderful crafts, the food and fun, and enjoy the beautiful sights of our city.

This year’s event is already larger than last year with many more vendors and a larger children’s area with the Bookmobile, The Children’s Museum of Oswego, karate demonstrations by Performance Fitness, Fingerprinting by the sheriff’s department, face painting and much more.

It will truly be fun for the entire family.

We are expecting many of the same vendors as last year and we also have many new crafters added to the mix.

Returning once again this year are Bags by Joan, Lucray, Crescent Moon Studio, Timmy Crack Corn Produce – winner of last year’s Best in Show, The Glass Shed, The Phyllis Flair, Cole’s Candles, White Dog Barkery, Lakeside Artisans, Johnny Deary’s Woodworking and  The Chuck Wagon, by Steve Walpole.

Along with the beautiful crafts there will once again be wine tasting from some of the finest New York State wineries. Returning again this year will be Lakeland Winery, Thousand Islands Winery, and Americana Vineyards and Winery.

Musical entertainment by Double Vs will be playing all afternoon, with karate demonstrations by Performance Fitness and there will be more food vendors to satisfy the hungry palette.

We would also like to thank all our sponsors who help to cover the cost of the music and children’s entertainment.

Thanks go out to Warner Physical Therapy, Compass Federal Credit Union, Nelson’s Funeral Home, Burritt’s Chevrolet and McGrath’s.

The Oswego Lions Club has developed a great reputation of putting on a good show, so like all of our other events, we are expecting big crowds again this year.

We look forward to seeing you all again at this year’s River’s Edge Craft Show.
