OSWEGO, NY – An Oswego man engaged in sexual intercourse with a victim less than 15 years old, according to the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office.
On Thursday (Dec. 8), at 11:10 a.m., Shane Lynn Jackson, 25, of 2018 County Route 1, Apt. 5, Oswego, was arrested for second-degree rape, a class D felony; second-degree criminal sex Act, a class D felony; endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest.
The arrest was made following the investigation into an incident that occurred in the village of Mexico in November when Jackson allegedly had sexual intercourse and engaged in oral sex, with the victim being less than 15 years of age.
As patrol was attempting to arrest Jackson, he reportedly tried running away from them.
Jackson was arraigned in the Town of Scriba Court and remanded to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
He is to return to Town of Mexico Court on Dec. 13.
