Oswego Man Facing Burglary Charges

OSWEGO, NY – On Tuesday (April 24), the Oswego City Police Department arrested Jose O. Padua, 32, of 200 W. First St. Apt 2, Oswego.

He was allegedly found by a homeowner in the process of burglarizing an apartment.

Padua was detained, without force, by a friend of the homeowner until police arrived.

Upon investigation, Padua was found to be in possession of burglar tools and 97 Diazepam pills which he allegedly intended to sell.

Padua was charged with Burglary in the Second Degree (C Felony), Possession of Burglar Tools (A Misdemeanor), Pettit Larceny (A Misdemeanor), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance Seventh Degree (A Misdemeanor), and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Sell Fifth Degree (D Felony).

He was arraigned in Oswego City Court where he was remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility on $25,000 cash bail / $50,000 bail bond.
