The arrest is a result of a traffic stop made on November 28 by the Oswego City Police Department’s Anti Crime Team (ACT).
On that date, members of the ACT were in the area of East Fourth and East Mohawk streets when they observed a red colored 2002 Buick with three occupants.
The vehicle allegedly failed to stop for a stop sign and was subsequently stopped by the officers in the area of East Fourth and Cayuga streets.
Thamarus, whom was wanted on an active arrest warrant issued out of Oswego City Court, was in the vehicle and taken into custody on the warrant.
He was further found to be in illegal possession of about 133 dosage units of prescription narcotics that were intended for sale, police said.
On December 12, Thamarus was arraigned in Oswego City Court, on the above listed charges and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 secured bail bond.
He is due to reappear in Oswego City Court on December 19 at 1:30 p.m.
