OSWEGO, NY – There will be a different location during the month of October for the Oswego City School District Board of Education meetings.
On October 8, the school board will conduct its committee meetings and a brief regular meeting at the Oswego Middle School Carl C. Palmitesso Theatre.
The committee meetings provide an opportunity to have public and staff input for the resolutions that will be placed on the October 22 regular meeting agenda.
The meeting will be called to order at 5 p.m., but it is expected the board will move to executive session to discuss specific personnel matters and then is expected to reconvene for public session at approximately 5:30 p.m.
There will be two important presentations during the committee meetings. Tom Zuber will provide the district officials and board members with an overview of the external audit during the finance portion of the evening.
Meanwhile, during the curriculum part of the meeting Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Cathy Chamberlain will be joined by the district Director of Mathematics Carrie Plasse to present a program on the implementation of the mathematics modules within the district.
The regular meeting has just one resolution for the board to address as the new School Business Director Nancy Squairs will become the school district purchasing agent as she will replace Peter Myles who had undertaken the responsibilities in the absence of a business director.
This will be the first of two consecutive meetings at the Oswego Middle School Carl C. Palmitesso Theatre as the October 22 session will also be conducted in that facility.
