Oswego Opera Theater Announces Auditions For Opera Chorus

OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego Opera Theater announces auditions for members of the Opera Chorus, on Sept. 12, starting at 4:30 p.m in Room 102 of Tyler Hall on the SUNY Oswego campus.

The Opera Chorus is under the direction of a new leader for 2011-2012, Nancy James.

Ms. James has performed both as a vocalist and pianist with Oswego Opera Theater, and is currently an Affiliate Artist in Voice at the Syracuse University Setnor School of Music.

All persons interested are asked to prepare two pieces, one in English and one foreign language piece, preferably in Italian.

The Opera Chorus’s first appearance this season will be in the production of Mozart’s Così fan tutte at Waterman Theatre at SUNY Oswego’s Tyler Hall on Nov. 4, at 7:30 p.m. and on Nov. 6, at 2 p.m.
