OSWEGO, NY – At approximately 7 p.m. Thursday, as a result of ongoing investigations into illegal drug activity, members of the Oswego City Police Department Criminal Investigations Division stopped a green Jeep motor vehicle in the area of East Ninth Street and East Bridge Street.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as 25-year-old Brandon C. Enwright, of 80 E. Eleventh St., Oswego.
A passenger in the vehicle was identified as 30-year-old Jill M. Familo, of 191 Maiden Lane Road, Oswego.
Further investigation and interview of the vehicle occupants determined Familo to be in possession of approximately 0.4-gram of heroin, as well as three hypodermic needles and other items commonly used in the consumption and distribution of illegal narcotics.
Enwright was found to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana and several hydrocodone pills which were not legally prescribed to him, police said.
Both were taken into custody and transported to the Oswego City Police Department, where Familo was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a class B Felony.
She was subsequently arraigned in Oswego City Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bail bond, with a return court date of July 26.
Enwright was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, a class A Misdemeanor, and released on an appearance ticket with a return court date of Aug. 18.
