OSWEGO – On April 28 the Oswego Players, in collaboration with Theatre Du Jour, will present David Javerbaum’s comedy “An Act of God” as the second production of its 80th anniversary season.
The play takes a satirical view of what it might be like if God and His Archangels reappeared in the 21st Century to amend the Ten Commandments.
The Oswego Players’ production of the play features Matt Fleming as God, with Patrick Carmen and Tammy Wilkinson as the Archangels Michael and Gabriel.
Fresh off Broadway, the Players’ production is one the first in Upstate New York to be granted the royalties to the show by Dramatist’s Play Service, the publisher.
Oswego Players’ board president Paul Mckinney will direct this production assisted by Alex Taylor as stage manager.
Production staff also includes light and stage designers Tom and Morgan Fazzio.
Tammy Wilkinson is the show’s producer.
The show is slated to be performed at the Francis Marion Brown Theater in Oswego on April 28 and May 4 and 5 at 8 p.m. and April 29 and May 6 at 2 p.m.
Ticket prices include: student and seniors $9, adults $14.
