OSWEGO – The Oswego Players will present the Tony award winning comedy ‘Art’ beginning March 5 at the Frances Marion Brown Theater, in Oswego.
The play raises questions about art and friendship, and concerns three long-time friends, Serge, Marc and Yvan.
Serge, indulging his penchant for modern art, buys a large, expensive, completely white painting.
Marc is horrified and their relationship suffers considerable strain as a result of their differing opinions about what constitutes “art.”

The play was originally written in French by Yazmina Reza and translated into English by Christopher Hampton.
It premiered in French at the Comedie Champs-Elysees in Paris in 1994.
Then opened in English translation in London’s West End in 1996 where it had a run of eight years.
