OSWEGO, NY – Freezin’ for a Reason! The third Oswego Polar Plunge for Special Olympics New York will take an icy dip into Ontario Lake on March 28 in support of local Special Olympics athletes.
More than 300 participants are expected to take the plunge including teams already registered: Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 73, Oswego City Pol”ICE”, Alpha Epsilon Pi, Arc of Oswego County, Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity, Psi, Phi Gamma, Beardsley Architects & Engineers, Port City Roller Derby, Alpha Phi Omega and Greene’s Ale House.
Registration can be completed online at www.PolarPlungeNY.org/Oswego.
Participants raising $100+ will receive a free official Polar Plunge sweatshirt.
Oswego Polar Plunge will take place at Wright’s Landing, 21 Lake St.
Registration and check-in 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.; plunge at 1 p.m.
Chicken BBQ at Gibby’s Irish Pub, West Second and Lake streets, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
BBQ tickets are available for purchase at Gibby’s Irish Pub, iHeartOswego, Studio C Dance Academy and Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 73.
Ice breaker pre-plunge party at Gibby’s March 27 from 8 p.m. – midnight (ages 21+).
Oswego Polar Plunge registration and check-in, live music by Dave Hawthorn, raffles, drink specials.
