OSWEGO, NY – As a result of continued investigations into the alleged possession and sales of illegal drugs in the city of Oswego area, the Oswego City Police Department is announcing the following arrest:
On Sunday September 30, at about 8:30 p.m. the Oswego City Police Department’s Anti-Crime Team executed a search warrant at 230 W. Seneca St.
The search warrant had been issued by the Honorable James Metcalf, Oswego City Court Judge, based upon an investigation that showed marihuana was being sold from that residence.
The ensuing search resulted in the seizure of about 1.6 pounds of marihuana.
Thomas F. Butler, 50, of 230 W. Seneca St., was later arrested and charged with the following:
Criminal Possession of Marihuana in the 2nd Degree- Class D Felony.
Butler was arraigned in Oswego City Court and granted pre-trial release.
A return court date was not set.
