Oswego Police Probe Rash Of Car Thefts

OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego City Police Department reports that during the time frame of Jan. 22 from approximately 8:30 p.m. through Jan. 23 at approximately 6 a.m., three vehicles were stolen from within / around the city of Oswego, as well as property stolen from within at least two additional vehicles.

Each of the stolen vehicles were left unlocked with the keys inside.

Two of the stolen vehicles are being investigated by the City of Oswego Police Department.

The other, which occurred just outside the city, is being investigated by the Oswego County Sheriff’s Department.

Police are encouraging all citizens not to leave keys in their vehicles and to also securely lock their vehicles each night.
