OSWEGO – Oswego’s first “PorchFest” will be held September 20 from 1-5 p.m. on the porches, lawns and driveways of some 20 homes in the Historic Franklin Park and Montcalm Park neighborhoods.
This event brings 20+ musicians and/or performers together to celebrate and create a sense of community.
Performers participate for no other reason than to showcase their talents and engage the community.
They voluntarily take to the “stage” on porches/lawns/driveways at designated times to perform free for the public.
The more than 20 performers signed up bring a variety of music, poetry, children’s book reading and barbershop harmony along with a number of bands and singers to the neighborhood, some hailing from as far as Binghamton and Rochester.
