Slick move by Bill Crist to delay the vote on 2% pay raises for Cathy Chamberlain and Peter J. Myles until after Fran was replaced by Lynda. They had it on the agenda for June 12 but knew it’d be voted down 4-3 by John, Fran, Sam and Kathleen, so he moved the vote to July 2. Crist expects that Lynda will vote with the other bloc to give very generous pay raises for already overpaid administrators.

The people who support these kinds of pay raises for administrators like to say its a retention strategy. Chamberlain clearly is not going anywhere as she is going to ride it out on the taxpayer’s back until she can collect a tax-free pension in 2014. Myles, come on, he was promoted for the sole reason that he performed so poorly as principal so they needed to find a cake job for him where he couldn’t do anymore damage. And he gets a pay raise for this?

Please Lynda, Bill, or Tom, one of you please have some sense and vote this down. Give that money back to the taxpayers.
