OSWEGO, NY – Information relating to the proposed 2010-2011 Oswego City School District budget is available both on-line and television.
Voting will be conducted on May 18 from noon to 9 p.m. at the regular polling places throughout the district. However, information is available from several resources throughout the upcoming weeks.
The entire 44-page budget is currently posted on the Oswego City School District web site (www.oswego.org).
Copies are also available for review in the office of the district clerk at the Education Center as well as every school building throughout the district.
This year, the district is producing three video programs that address the budget and questions relating to next year’s financial plan.
The program is being produced as a public service by members of the Oswego Middle School technology team in cooperation with Superintendent of Schools Bill Crist and District Clerk Bill Foley.
The first program is currently on line on the Oswego City School District web site and will be broadcast on a regular basis from 2-6 p.m. on Time Warner Channel 16.
These three programs will hopefully answer questions voters may have in regards to the budget.
Prior to the vote a budget newsletter will be delivered throughout the district with financial information as well as answers to a variety of questions that have been raised in relation to this year’s budget proposal.
Anyone seeking further information should contact Foley at 341-2020 or [email protected]
The public hearing on the budget will be conducted on May 4 at 6 p.m. in the Oswego High School cafeteria
