Oswego School District Universal Pre-Kindergarten Openings Available

OSWEGO – The Oswego City School District still has openings for the Universal Pre-Kindergarten program.

The program is designed for children who were born between Dec. 2, 2011, and Dec. 1, 2012, and is offered at no cost. There are currently openings at Riley, Kingsford, and Fitzhugh schools.

The program runs in conjunction with the regular school district calendar.

Morning and afternoon sessions are available.

The program runs from 9 – 11:30 a.m. for the morning session and 12:45 – 3:15 p.m. for the afternoon session.

The UPK teachers and staff strive to create a warm and nurturing environment for all our pre-k children.

The goals of the program are to meet the individual needs of 4-year-old children in the areas of social, academic, language, emotional and physical development.

This prepares them to successfully enter kindergarten the following year.

The UPK teachers and district work closely together to deliver the best first educational experiences for your children.

Anyone who would like to enroll their child for the program can contact the Office of Curriculum and Instruction at 341-2001 for an application.
